Siswa diminta membawa tanaman empon-empon dari rumah mulai dari kunyit, temu lawak, jahe, temu ireng dan lainnya.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Usai disekolah tanaman empon-empon yang dibawa dari rumah kemudian ditanam di kebun kelas masing-masing. Tanaman itu nantinya akan dirawat oleh siswa pada kelas yang bersangkutan sehingga keberlangsungan hidup tanaman tersebut tergantung kelas masing-masing.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dengan tanggungjawab masing-masing kelas harapannya dapat menggungah kesadaran siswa mengenai pelestarian lingkungan utamanya tanaman empon-empon. Kedepan akan dikembangkan lebih lanjut pada tanaman obat langka sehingga SMAN 1 Purwantoro dapat memiliki kebun obat secara mandiri.
